[caret-users] Segmentations vs true anatomy studies/texts

Hi All,

Could anyone recommend a textbook/paper or website that does an exceptional job at comparing true anatomy of a brain with its own MRI volume data and its segmentation? Many of the textbooks I've seen don't compare a photo of the brain tissue with the exact same MRI volume. 

Is it feasible to get some hands-on experience in this this high resolution MRI vs real-anatomy part of the field?
