[caret-users] crossovers

Hello.
 
I am fairly new to using Caret, and I am having a crossover problem. 
The entire lateral segmentation surface that I have created is colored
red after the initial flattening steps (see attached image), and so it
seems as if I am doing something wrong.  Has anyone ever seen this, or
does anyone have an idea of what I may be doing incorrectly?
