Hi Michael,

I tried reading your VTK file (after bzip2 -d
Human.xx00.R.CerebralHull.vtk.bz2), and Caret seg faulted with:

Generic Warning: In
/usr/local/caret_libraries/source/VTK-5.0.2/IO/vtkDataReader.cxx, line 844
Error reading ascii data!
[1] Segmentation fault caret5 -style Cleanlooks

The file looks reasonable:

it.wustl.edu 19% grep -n '[A-Z]' Human.xx00.R.CerebralHull.vtk
1:# vtk DataFile Version 3.0
2:Written by Caret
3:ASCII
4:DATASET POLYDATA
5:POINTS 13962 float
4661:POLYGONS 27932 111728
32595:CELL_DATA 27932
32596:POINT_DATA 13962
32597:NORMALS Normals float

The good news is that the impact of this problem is pretty limited --
unless you are doing morphometric studies using sulcal depth, which
depend on reading that vtk file.
