[caret-users] caret keeps crashing on mac os

Dear Caret users,

I recently installed the caret 5.6 on a mac os. I unzip the package and then installed it using ./install-sh and I even created a icon on the doc. It opens fine and is even able to open a spec file but when I try to use the drop down option (let's say to select files or browse folders) it crashes. I have tried reinstalling it and it still keeps crashing. 

Kindly advise!!!
