[caret-users] generating segmentation

Hi,
 
When generating a segmentation from a T1 image using 'surefit operations (segmentations)' I get a different segmentation  then when using 'Threshold into segmentation' from the volume menu. The segmentation from the surefit operations is a lot smoother and a bit dilated when setting the same grey-white matter boundary. I seem to be unable to find out how exactly this is achieved. I tried using the volume dilate and erode command after thresholding into segmentation, but did not manage to get the same results.
