Capture Image and Recording Window

Use this window to capture images of the main window.

Capture Tab

  • Capture Press this button to capture an image of the graphics in the Main Window.

Image Destination

  • Copy to Clipboard The captured image is placed onto the computer system's clipboard.
  • Save to File The captured image is saved to an image file. Image file types supported include GIF (.gif), JPEG (.jpg), PNG (.png).

Image Options

  • Automatically Crop Image If selected, the captured image has most of the background removed from the sides of the brain model in the main window.

Recording Tab

Captures a sequence of images with each image containing a number indicating its position in the sequence.

Mode

  • Automatic When selected, an image of the graphics in the Main Window is saved to an image file each time the graphics are updated.
  • Manual When selected, an image of the graphics in the Main Window is saved to an image file each time the Capture button is pressed.

Recording Options

  • Record Each Image X times Number of copies of each image that is captured. Since a movie may be twenty frames per second, this allows a static image for a portion of the movie.

  • Reset Press this button to delete all images captured.

ffmpeg

ffmpeg is a program that can be used to create a movie from a sequence of images. "-r 5" indicates five frames per second.

ffmpeg -f image2 -r 5 -i RecordingImage_%05d.png -s vga -vcodec qtrle out.mov

  • Close Closes this window.
