Main Window

Toolbar

  • View - Places the mouse into View Mode. In ViewMode, clicking the mouse performs an identification operation on data under the mouse. Dragging the mouse will rotate a surface. Holding down the Shift Key while dragging the mouse will pan (translate) the surface or volume. Holding down the CTRL key (Apple on Mac) while dragging the mouse will zoom in/out the surface or volume.
  • L - Displays a view from the left side.
  • R - Displays a view from the right side.
  • A - Displays a view from the anterior.
  • P - Displays a view from the posterior.
  • D - Displays a view from the dorsal.
  • V - Displays a view from the ventral.
  • X - Resets to a dorsal view and removes any panning or scaling.
  • Slice View - Controls which slice is displayed if the volume viewer is in the main window.
  • Slice X Control - Allows selection of the all or volume viewer's X-slice (left to right).
  • Slice Y Control - Allows selection of the all or volume viewer's Y-slice (posterior to anterior).
  • Slice Z Control - Allows selection of the all or volume viewer's Z-slice (inferior to superior).
  • DC - Displays the Display Control Window.
  • Model Control - Chooses the model for display. This may be a surface, volumes slices, or all structures which contains surfaces and slices. Some controls for All Structures are on the Display Control's All Structures View page.

Graphics Area

The graphics area is the large region between the toolbar and the status bar. It contains models of the brain.

Status Bar

The status bar lists the functionality of the mouse based upon the mouse mode.
