Mapping Data Type

  • Label Column into Label Volume - The contents of a Label file column are mapped into a label volume.
    • Label - Label column that is mapped into the volume. The label columns listed are those in the structure that contains the surface selected on this window.
  • Metric Column into Functional Volume - The contents of a Metric file column are mapped into a metric volume.
    • Metric - Metric column that is mapped into the volume. The metric columns listed are those in the structure that contains the surface selected on this window.
  • Surface Shape Column into Functional Volume
  • Shape - Shape column that is mapped into the functional volume. The shape columns listed are those in the structure that contains the surface selected on this window.
  • Create Segmentation Volume from Surface - A segmentation volume is created by mapping the surface into a segmentation volume.

Surface

Surface that is is intersected with the volume.

Output Volume

Volume into which the surface is intersected. The volume must exist and may be created with Volume Menu->Create New Volume.

Thickness

Because the surface is infinitely thin, multiple intersections of the surface and volume are made by shrinking and expanding the surface to approximate a desired thickness of the surface.

  • Inner Boundary - Inner boundary where the intersection starts.
  • Outer Boundary - Outer boundary where the intersection ends.
  • Step Size - Distance between intersections of the surface with the volume that start at Inner Boundary and end at Outer Boundary.

Options

  • Clear all voxels - If selected, all voxels inside the volume are set to zero, prior to the volume intersection. Using this item unchecked may be useful for placing multiple intersections inside of a volume.
  • Metric/Shape Algorithm - Controls how metric and shape data is mapped into the functional volume With interpolate, the voxel is set to the average metric/shape from the nodes in all triangles that intersect the voxel. With largest value, the voxel is set to the most negative or positive value from the nodes in all triangles that intersect the voxel.
